T-VIPS Regional adaptation

Regional adaptation

National terrestrial networks require inclusion of regional TV channels, regional versions of national TV channels, or local TV channels. In the case of analogue switch off, it is essential to continue to provide today’s TV offerings and to ensure that the electronic program guides based on the service information (SI) include the relevant regional program offerings.

T-VIPS provides compact solutions for regional multiplexing, service filtering and SI adaptation. The extremely flexible SI processing and play-out enabled by T-VIPS equipment ensures that bandwidth is conserved by handling SI data as efficiently as possible. Our adaptation solutions are designed for long service-life, ease of operation, low power consumption and minimal maintenance requirements: all leading to reduced operating costs.

Terrestrial network operators face challenges in frequency availability, today’s favored solution is to introduce single frequency networks (SFNs), for which T-VIPS offers unique market-leading solutions. T-VIPS provides SFN adaptors as stand-alone units, integrated in the transport stream processors or the re-multiplexers.
