WFTV Selects TVG420 in Latest North American Contract Win
|

We recently announced that WFTV, the Orlando-based Cox-owned ABC affiliate, has deployed TVG420s to transport MPEG-2 news footage from its transmitter site over a microwave link to its studio. This provides WFTV with a robust solution for back-hauling its primary digital ENG link over its IP-based spread-spectrum microwave system. Fine-tuning was accomplished with help from the T-VIPS support staff and the link was performing flawlessly within 48 hours of arrival.

T-VIPS success in Digital Terrestrial Television

T-VIPS enjoyed great success in DVB-T during 2007, highlights included the delivery of a complete solution for the regional adaptation of the Norwegian DTT network and a distribution solution for the Austrian DTT operator ORS. 2008 has seen the company maintain its competitive position in DVB-T with involvement in a project, outlined below, with National Grid Wireless.

No Debate Over French Parliamentary Broadcast Solution

Our advanced JPEG2000 TVG415 Video Gateways have been selected by Cognacq-Jay Image, a subsidiary of the TDF Group, to distribute live video over IP networks from the Assemblée Nationale and the Sénat on behalf of LCP-Assemblée, Nationale & Public Sénat, which is broadcast on digital terrestrial television. Cognacq-Jay Image is the systems integrator for the project and the solution is supplied through T-VIPS' French business partner, Isovision.

T-VIPS Provides Primary Transport System for Austrian Terrestrial Network

Following the award of a contract by ORS, T-VIPS has provided a DVB-T localization system for Austria's terrestrial network. ORS is an affiliate of ORF, the country's largest media company. The system initially distributes and controls video from several main transmitter stations to seven smaller transmitter towers to extend the single frequency network (SFN). The T-VIPS equipment was delivered through ETAS, our business partner in Austria.
