The TVG450 is the first JPEG2000-based solution to provide 3D and 3G HD IP video transport support with high-density - up to 6HD channels per rack unit. The NAB launch of this next generation video transport solution extends our lead in the JPEG2000 space and in providing first class 3G HD support.

The new TVG450 Video Gateway delivers a wealth of business benefits for broadcast contribution, studio-to-studio media exchange, routing, post-production, live event coverage and primary distribution, including industry first JPEG2000 support for 3G HD (1080p).

We’re very happy with the market’s response to our TVG450, particularly the positive feedback on the modular frame solution of the TVG450 allowing 6 HD channels in 1 RU. This complements the compact half-width 1 RU and the full 1 RU dual power solutions. As with all the T-VIPS products, the TVG450 is integrated with T-VIPS Connect, our remote control and monitoring solution.

The increased availability of good-quality Ethernet links combined with the high quality enabled by our JPEG2000 video transport, means that broadcasters no longer have to choose between high quality and cost-effectiveness, since our JPEG2000-based video gateways provide both.
