T-VIPS Demonstrated Power of ATSC Product Portfolio at NAB

Our innovative ATSC product portfolio provided more success at NAB 2010, where it was extremely well received by delegates from US TV stations, who were quick to realize its business potential. We were able to meet with many broadcasters who are looking to us to help them maximize efficiency with the latest advances in ATSC video processing and video transport solutions.

Our partner Heartland Video Systems (HVS) has deployed our solutions for a number of TV stations, including major network affiliates. Located in the Midwest, HVS represents a wide range of products and solutions for the broadcast and video industries. Dennis Klas, General Manager for Heartland Video Systems, Inc. has been highly impressed, saying: “We have deployed T-VIPS gear in a number of installations over the last year and our clients are extremely satisfied with the equipment. The T-VIPS team understands the requirements of a TV station and has designed highly reliable products that are very easy to operate. The response we’ve received from clients so far has been outstanding.”

We’re really excited about the market response to our ATSC Product Portfolio. Our cProcessors power many of the world’s most advanced and complex digital terrestrial networks and we are experiencing growing success in the US market.

TV stations are deploying the CP525 cMUX to perform re-multiplexing in addition to PSIP rebranding to fulfil the FCC requirement to include PSIP information that accurately reflects the content being aired. TV stations can utilize a number of interfaces, including IP, SMPTE310 and ASI. The TVG420 ASI to IP gateway enables TV stations to leverage the flexibility of reasonably priced IP based networks.

Our success at NAB is pointing the way to even more growth for our ATSC portfolio in the months ahead. Now we’re back from the show we’re following up on a wide array of new leads and new conversations. We are helping broadcasters solve their quality and efficiency challenges and the word is spreading fast.
