We recently announced our collaboration with Sports Logic in the US aimed at providing cutting-edge video transport solutions to the American sports production and broadcasting sector.

Sports Logic will focus on specific products and services that are best suited for the unique demands of the sports production environment.

Because sports coverage contains high-speed motion with rapid scene shifts and lots of camera movement, it represents the maximum challenge for compression schemes. In addition, the high value of sports content means it is more important than ever that the television signal is enjoyed by the consumer at the highest quality and with the minimum delay. Furthermore, sports content is often broadcast on a large number of channels in many geographical regions as well as over mobile TV networks and streamed over the Internet, which requires a source signal that is suitable for editing, format conversion and transcoding.
