DVB-T2/SFN Seamless Switching solution:

The solution combines the T-VIPS TNS541 Seamless TS Monitoring Switch and the CP560 DVB-T2 Gateway to provide seamless switching for DVB-T2/SFN digital terrestrial networks. In order to preserve SFN operation and avoid DVB-T2 modulators losing sync, the solution provides 1+1 redundancy between two independent CP560 DVB-T2 Gateways. The TNS541 Seamless TS monitoring Switch makes it possible to switch between two streams in such a way that the T2-MI stream structure and timestamps at the output of the TNS541 will be unaffected. This will prevent service outages caused by DVB-T2 modulator resynchronization, a process that typically would take several seconds to complete.

TVG425 Transport Stream Gateway

The TVG425 provides transmission of MPEG Transport Streams with flexible interfacing to ASI, IP/Ethernet and SONET/SDH. In addition to the interface adaptation capabilities, the TVG425 includes advanced features such as ETR290 priority 1 input signal monitoring, dual network interfaces, bidirectional operation, output diversity (multiple output destinations) and input switching between redundant TS sources.

The T-VIPS CP560 DVB-T2 Gateway wins ‘best terrestrial wireless contribution /distribution solution’ – September 20 2010

T-VIPS, a global leader in professional video contribution and distribution solutions, today shares the news that its CP560 DVB-T2 Gateway has won ‘Best terrestrial wireless contribution/distribution solution’ in the prestigious CSI Product of the Year Awards, which were announced at the IBC Conference, Amsterdam, September 9-14.

T-VIPS was last nominated for two awards in 2007, when we won both categories entered. We will all have our fingers crossed that we’ll repeat this double winning experience at the 2010 awards ceremony, which will take place on Friday 10th September at IBC from 6 to 7.30pm

T-VIPS has been placed amongst the 20 winners from a list of 450 original candidates for the European Information and Communications Technology Grand Prize.
